In this form of disease, the peritoneum which is lining the abdomen get affected. The organs like liver, small intestinal segments like duodenum, jejunum, ileum and large intestinal regions like cecum, colon etc. may be affected.

It is to be remembered that in asbestos mesothelioma disease, the death may occur if the disease is an extensive one and the death occurs mostly within ten to sixteen months. Affected persons can make claim from health insurance policy also.
